Do? What? Who? Or why Write, Submit, and to Whom.
Time and time again, I hear website owners should write articles. I also hear “build the list”. Manually, I click on emails saying “drive traffic to your site…..get this free report”. I’m told to link things here, and back link there, send out newsletters, get a solid product, get google adsense, buy ads, and have affiliates…..wow! So, blinking through the multitude of meaningful advice, I ask myself what is the one thing do I need to do, if only one thing, mindful of task at hand, clean and simple, do I do? Or, try it this way: In order to increase traffic or business to my site/product, what one thing do I do that works? Answer: “Write”. What do I write? Answer: “Articles”. And to who do I give these articles? Answer: Article publishers, such as “Article Marketer” or other ezine article publishers.
I’m going to assume I just finished my first article, and know if my guts it is a good article. Now what? Keeping it dead-on simple, I know need to submit after finding sites that will accept my article. First, I can look for a publisher, for example, at NetMastersSolutions (http://www.netmastersolutions.com/subject.html) which is a free ezine directory. In pursuit of a publisher, I can also look at TopEzineAds.com. Finding a publisher, preferably publishers, and submitting my article is a daunting process requiring Time. I need to go to these sites, enter my name, get a username, password, login in, and copy/paste according to their guidelines. Let’s say I’m interested in 25 ezine publishers. I see the light right before me: before my first submission, I’m searching the web for software that can do this for me! Or I consider my alternative. I use a service such as Article Marketer. The advantages are dramatic. Thinking beyond my article, I see I can post several articles at once, obtain a reasonably priced subscription allowing unlimited submissions, and request distribution over my chosen time frame. There is an article review and submission process, and auto pilot distribution feature, and tips on how to write good articles. The affiliate program is a nice bonus. In thinking back on what I ‘should’ being doing, if I am serious about traffic for my business, I should be serious about quality and the integrity of the article submission and process services. Consequentially, I save time and energy to spend it, no, not at the beach, but investing in doing what I’ve been told I should be doing all along: “writing articles”.
